The Emerging Voices program of the Architectural League of New York has been one of the most consistent and successful programs for identifying emerging talent in the world of architecture of the last 30 years. Each year, from a group of 50 invited candidates, a jury of architects, journalists, curators, and league board members select eight firms. They are practitioners or firms with a significant body of realized work that represents the best of its kind and has the potential to shape the future of architecture and landscape design.
This next week the League will celebrate 30 years of Emerging Voices and honor its Program Director Anne Rieselbach at an event at the Cooper-Hewitt Museum. “The remarkable list of architects and landscape architects who have participated in the program is a testament to Anne’s judgment and skill in putting together the list for consideration each year, and in choosing and working with the jury,” states Rosalie Genevro, the Executive Director of the League. It coincides with the release of the publication of 30 Years of Emerging Voices: Idea, Form, Resonance by the Princeton Architectural Press.
We are honored to have been named an Emerging Voice in 2003.
