Process Exhibit

Process Exhibit

Chicago, Illinois

2005

The exhibit Brininstool + Lynch: Process examined fifteen years of the firm’s work in drawings, models, photography, and installations of building details at I space — the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign’s Chicago Gallery of Fine and Applied Arts.

In the exhibition catalogue text written by Reed Kroloff, he remarked:

“In a period when theatrics threaten to overwhelm substance in architecture, their work offers a quieter, considered alternative. The ideas trace a clear, logical path, and they mature with each project. Their modernism is not revolutionary, it’s evolutionary. It contains the genetic material of Chicago’s great tradition, and the seeds of its future.”
