We are asked to transform a traditional laid out interior and create an open and serene living environment oriented to expansive views of Lake Michigan and nearby landmarks. All the apartment’s custom millwork and storage units were designed and detailed to integral with the walls – rather than cabinetry – to reinforce the idea that an entirely new architectural volume has been inserted within the shell of the existing apartment.
