Wood Land was inspired by the Boston Mountains and woodlands of the southern Ozarks of Northwest Arkansas. Like the indigenous Maple-Leaf Oak, and its surrounding habitat, this proposal offers a variation in height and form that enhances the experience and creates a sense of place. Drawing upon the architectural vernacular of the area, cedar and cypress clad the buildings, along with other locally sourced wood products and materials. Wood Land was developed to provide a viable, affordable and meaningful place to live and work in Northwest Arkansas.
